Coach Brown is absolutely right. In a year like this one there should be co-champions. I'm a USC fan, but, if I could, I would vote for Utah to be #1 in the AP poll. How can any college football fan not love that team after watching the Sugar Bowl?

From what I can glean from the press repoarts Tom Brady suffered a postoperative bacterial infection in the joint space of his knee after a major ligament reconstruction. If the infection was caused by staph - it's a catastrophe. The complication was made even more disastrous by a delay in diagnosis. The infection has likely laid permanent waste to Tom's knee. Those nasty little bugs and the body's immune response to them destroy large amounts of collagen, the substance that comprises the ligaments, the menisci, and the joint surfaces. It is very likely that Brady will never recover sufficiently to play football. He will probably need a total knee replacement in the near future. Matt Cassell is the best alternative.
