The day JoePa shilted his pants on the sideline during the OSU game (2006 season), ran into the locker room, dawned some new dockers, and resumed coaching duties was the day he became a god to me. Mental continence is all you need to be successful. And an extra pair of slacks of course.

Which leaves the NCAA looking only for ties to the program.
Which there are none. Bush got away with cheating. It stinks.

USC cannot, and will not be penalized. Rightly so. This guy is not tied to the University or it's Boosters. This has already been proven.

The Heisman Committee might ask for their trophy back.
But other than a little character humiliation, and perhaps paying out some money - not much will come of this. I simply hope they choose to pursue him for the principle.

It all depends on how much vision the kid has.
Does he envision himself taking every snap his Freshman year?
Or does he envision himself growing into a system.
OSU and UM provide different immediate dividends.
OSU = immediate winning, and the possibility of a championship next year.
UM - immediate playing time, potential hero status. Winning? Not so much.
Long term investment:
OSU = Guaranteed National Title shot(s), more pro-style offense
UM = 2 Year Team rebuild, and all the uncertainty that comes with it

OSU makes more sense. But he is a kid. And maybe he really does believe he's good enough to step in and get it done. And maybe he is.

Okay. I talked to the wife, and we think this just might work for us. We're both willing to sacrifice to make it happen, and are even willing to relocate. So I would like to officially enter my name in the UM hiring lottery. I have no practical coaching experience, but I am good with a computer, and consider myself a team player. I am willing to accept the less than generous offer Michigan is making to others, and for the love of god - I'm good with a computer. Did I say that already? In summation, I could coach at Delaware, so it would behoove the University to take my offer seriously. Thank you.

Unreal. He's great with the terminally ill, and downtrodden. Always willing to lend an ear. Maybe that's how he needs this team to be to gratify some morbid sense of purpose.
