i dont know why people think its funny to make fun of charlie weis for being fat. hes an outstanding coach no matter what. call me crazy, but id rather have a 300 lb coach who knows how to win games instead of a 100 lb coach who specializes in blowing halftime leads (willingham). anyone who thinks that ND cant and/or hasnt done anything under charlie weis has their head so far up their a** that it wont ever come out. suppose ty willingham was still the coach. forget about the 9-3 record in 2005 and the fiesta bowl. forget about the thriller against usc. stanford woulda beat ND in the final game. 2006, michigan st wins in a blowout. ucla wins. no sugar bowl, brady quinn falls to the second round in the NFL draft.

Instead, ND got charlie weis, who will prove to have been a better choice than urban meyer. ron zook was a recruiting master and a mediocre coach and left all his top-calibre players to win an NC for urban. tyrone on the other hand left the 2004 class, which in my opinion was the worst class in ND history. charlie weis wouldve won an NC at florida but had no real chance so far at ND. next year and definitely 2009 will be big years for ND, especially if corwin brown can prove he is a better coordinator than rick minter. everyone out there, make fun of ND as much as you can right now because in 1 or 2 years, they will be the best. teams have swings of success, ND is on its way up and will stay up for quite some time.
