I commend Schiano for staying. He's really loyal. Extremely loyal. That is a rarity these days. People don't turn down jobs like the Michigan job though.

When it's all said and done, the dodgers might be the surprise winner in all of this. They have the prospects and the financial flexibility needed to pull off the deal. Plus it makes sense for the Twins. The Twins don't have a good team, why would they trade away Santana to the Yanks or the Bosox, when they could trade him to the National league.

Met fans have crowned Reyes way too soon. He's a good player but the guy hasn't even brought you a world series yet, and he finished the season terribly last year too. He was a big part of the reason you missed the playoffs. To me he isn't an untouchable guy.

If I were the Mets I'd trade Reyes. Santana in the national league is a monster. I think the new Mets Statdium will be pitcher friendly too.

But I really don't see Minaya trading him.

Giant fans need to stop whinning about Manning so much. Look around the league, he's still better than more than half the QB's out there. Build a strong team around him, especially on D, like the Giants are known to do, and you can win a Super Bowl. New York always complains about their QB's. From Namath, to Simms, whoever, always complaining.

He's a good candidate, but what exactly is the upside for him. Yeah it's New York, but the Red Bulls have a bad track record, and its still within the MLS.

I think Santana either gets traded to the Yanks or he doesn't get traded at all. Unless some team comes out the woodwork, I can't think of too many teams that have the money and prospects needed to get him in a trade.

Whatever they do, they really need to get someone who will be able to stick around at least 3-4 years there. They really need some stability there.

The funny thing is Marbury isn't playing that bad. He's putting up some good numbers. The problem with the Knicks is they don't have that one star player that you need in the NBA to be a really good team. They also can't play any defense. Until they get that player or start playing better D they will continue to struggle.
