I actually feel bad for this young man. Almost any one else would have taken his money and moved on. He really seems to want to play basketball.

Releasing Ed Reed was the best thing my Texans have done all year :)

There have been quite a few coaches that failed in their first HC job and succeeded in their next HC job. Orgeron admitted he did not handle Ole Miss very well. He said he tried to act like he thought a HC should act like and it all unraveled. Now he says he will just be himself and you can see the results. Give him the job. As for just two examples of head coaches succeeding on their 2nd try, Pete Carroll (Jets,Seahawks) and Bellicheck (Browns,Patriots) There are plenty of other examples in both college and pro.
Posted Friday September 06, 2013, About: Titans owner turns up the heat on Munchak
It was worth it for Houston to be with out football for a while. We exchanged possibly the worst owner in sports for one of the best and we ended up getting a new stadium,2 super Bowls and a possible super Bowl contending team out of the deal. Yeah,It was worth it.
Posted Saturday July 20, 2013, About: British Open attendance down
I saw the sparse crowds both days and I wondered what the reason was. I am guessing 75 Pounds is about $100 dollars. If I had to choose I would pick the weekend or at least Sunday if I could only afford one day. If they made the price half of that they would get many more patrons. Sure they would probably break even on close to twice the crowds but they would make a ton more on concessions and souvenirs.

it's a freaking hat.............. Makes me like this guy even more on how he handled it :)
Posted Friday July 05, 2013, About: Lakers sink to fourth on Howard wish list
I have been a rockets fan since I moved to Houston in 1980. I would love an early X-Mas gift and would love to see Howard turn down the Rockets. This guy is a cancer in the locker room,is hurt half of the time, has limited offensive game and is just not worth the hassle.Give me 12 players who play with heart and i will watch that team.Howard is way overrated.
Posted Thursday June 06, 2013, About: Yanks desperately want to hear 'R' word from A-Rod
This kind of crap from players like A-Rod makes me appreciate players like Ken Griffey Jr and Dale Murphy even more. Murphy not being in the hall o fame is one of the biggest snubs of the last 50 years.JMHO
Posted Thursday January 24, 2013, About: White on 'co-worker' McHale: 'He has very little control'
I realize he has a mental illness but the Rockets have gone far out of their way to work with this guy. It is a 99-1 ratio here in Houston to get rid of this clown. Take your loss and move on. Just give him an ultimatum that will hold up in court. Ifhe agrees great if not dump him and be legally done with this jerk.
Posted Saturday January 19, 2013, About: Are Freddy Adu's Philly Union days numbered?
Freddy was one of those talents that were better then almost every one at 14 or so but never really got better. As every one else got older and better his lack of improvement really showed up.
Brian Kelly could stay at ND,make a ton of money and become a coaching legend or he could go to the pros and become just another coach who gets fired after 3-4 years. They don't let coaches have off years any more. Don Shula and Tom Landry would not have the longevity in today's NFL like they had in the 50,60's and 70's. Heck even in the 80's coaches had a bit of time to build a winner, but not today.
Posted Saturday January 12, 2013, About: Mike Stoops regrets controversial Johnny Manziel comments
He was just trying to be flippant and funny. In fact he was giving Johnny Football a bigger compliment by implying off the field issues will be the ONLY thing keeping that young man from a college hall of fame career. Man,I really hate the PC world we live in now. Bleep em if they can't take a joke.

hmm. I guess the name of the team is not printable. It is a slang term for mosquito.
Posted Wednesday August 15, 2012, About: Horizon for Astros even more bleak
In 5 years they will be playoff contenders. They got the top pick last year. They will get the top pick this year and probably the top pick next year and maybe the year after that. They are doing what Washington did. They signed the first 30 picks of their draft this year and plenty of the remaining 35.If they can do similar to this over the next 4-5 years they will have rebuilt their farm system and will have signed some potentially great players. The farm system has their teams all over a .500 winning % they last time I looked. We do have hope. Right now the biggest draw in town for base ball is the Sugarland ****,an independent league team.

Hey, I thought it was funny and so true.It is getting like that here in Houston. I am glad I live in Sugarland. I try to stay out of Houston unless there is a sporting event I am going to.
Posted Wednesday August 15, 2012, About: Texans, Johnson at odds over playing time?
I agree with you Mario was hurt for 10 games last season and the defense actually got better. If they stay away from the injury bug this team is a legit Super Bowl contender.
Posted Wednesday August 15, 2012, About: Texans, Johnson at odds over playing time?
You are a future HOF player. Take your rest, let keyshawn Martin show he deserves to be the 3rd receiver and enjoy a day of not getting hit. I love Andre because he wants to play no matter if it's pre season game or a sandlot game.
