Philly fans are the best. period. Why would you expect to be treated nicely by a bunch of folks who happen to root for the team you're trying to beat?

I'd say I agree with you, but a team like the mets, with an awful bullpen, need a closer more than they need another ace starter. Although i agree having CC and Johan in the same starting rotation would be ridiculous, they wouldnt have a capable closer, let alone middle relievers, to finish games out. while in an ideal baseball world, a complete game wouldnt be abnormal, baseball just isn't played that way these days. a strong bullpen, especially a closer, is essential, and the mets, or other similarly bullpen-starved teams that have strong starting pitching, would be smarter to go after k-rod than cc. Personally, I would love to see CC come to the phillies, seeing as how i'm a diehard phils fan, but that wont happen...i think the phils will go for another bullpen arm or two, and maybe a new catcher or third baseman...we're all defense and no offense at those positions...i wish we could find some players that bring both. some more bench depth would be fantastic as well. sorry this turned into a phillies rant, that tends to happen with me.

matt jones, dennis northcutt, and reggie williams are all so-so at best. while lito does have a history of injuries, he's a much higher caliber of player...he has a history of making big plays...see the game-clinching interception in the end zone that he returned for a TD against dallas in the final minute like two years ago.
