This is encouraging news for the usa. It look like its down to Serbia and the Usa. I would relish the opportunity to see a Gooch, Subotic pairing. I believe both will become world class defenders very soon. Not many countries can say that they have two central defenders that our both world class. If he chooses the US then 2014 will be our coming out party. we will have some serious talent to challange the world.
Posted Thursday October 09, 2008, About: Barca eyes Miami stadium for MLS team
I am in full support for a mls team in miami but their needs to be preconditions. Miami is not an american sports city, growing up in new england and moving down here has been a huge change. People here dont care about baseball, or football, or even really basketball. But they do care about the beutiful game. If it were to work the following would have to be considered.

1. First off, if Barcelona were not willing to spend big money on bringing talented well known players(MLS will have to change the CBA rules)then it will fail. People in Miami crave big stars, if its not good enough and the team brings in a bunch of college players, no one will show up garuanteed.

2. If their going to play at FIU then for soccer games they will have to clear the football lines for soccer matches. That might be asking too much.

3. Barcelona should stick with Miami FC. Callng the team Barcelona Miami will alienate all fans who support the likes of Real Madrid and others. Trust me their are plenty of people who support spanish teams here in Miami.

I know thats a lot to overcome, but if Barcelona is serious about this, and they really come up with a good plan, their is no doubt in my mind it can be a success. Miami is a soccer town, but Barcelona is going to have to invest a lot for it to be a success. I cant wait to see how it all pans out.

this is the worst possible thing that could happen to my patriots. Im still in shock, but the team needs to get it togetheir and support matt cassel. Remember we still have a collection of talent all over the field. Its time to step it up just like you always do, and keep the patriot philosphy and domination alive. GO PATS!!!!!
Posted Wednesday April 16, 2008, About: Agent: U.S. soccer needs tinkering
hes right soccer does need tinkering, that is the salary cap in mls. This to me is a no brainer, its acctually quite simple. When and only when the big stars of the world come and play in mls will this sports reach its peak. Apperently this guy hasnt seen a man u arsenal game, when the world stars come to play here soccer will explode into a huge and major sport in this country. If mls continues to favor college players and low salary players its going to stay the way it is, nobody here wants to see this, we want stars thats what americans crave. I know that the league wants to stay conservitive about the progress its making, but it desperetly needs to take the risk and go for the gold, i promise it will work out. Can you imagine if man u was the red bulls, giants stadium would sell out every game guarenteed. The salary cap is our problem and until something is done to get the world stars in mls the league will never be big.
Posted Wednesday April 09, 2008, About: Riquelme fielding $15M bid from MLS?
this is extreamly hard to believe, if you go back to all other dp's none signed with a transfer fee. But if mls is going to start riquelme is worth it he is the type of player mls needs to bring in. If this is really true which it probably isnt, the revs would be a team that i think would be front runner. they desperetly need a playmaker, and with recent injuries they might be tempted by riqulme. Who ever he goes to that team will win mls cup.
Posted Friday April 04, 2008, About: MLS Seattle set to splash on Henry
This would be great, but one super star on an mls team is not good enough. Mls is really gaining momentum, but the salary cap is what is preventing this league from expoloding. A 2.2 million salary cap and 1 dp is chump change. although i can already see much improvment in the league play this year, from last, the league seriously needs to consider either more dp's and a much higher cap or both. Lets face it mls can get european league super stars, but whos going to come and play alone, look at beckham, he cant do it by himself. until the league confronts this issue, its going to be tough to land primed players in europe.
Posted Tuesday March 25, 2008, About: Adu left off U.S.-Poland roster
im sure benefica made a deal, because theirs no way adu's not on the team. freddy is really developing, in my opinion his play has proven he is the man now for the senior squad, he is going to be a monster, the us's first real super star, what a talent, with him and altidore the us is finally going to have a strong squad from years to come. The us really needs to start playing the young guys on the regular, it seems as if the older players are really regressing, but if your a us fan you have to be exttact about the future of this team.

its so frustrrating being a friar fan. ,They always get some talent, but wheatheir its grades, discipline, injuries, not being happy what have you, those players always seem to leave the program. I think their needs to be a change. I do believe prov can recruit top players, prov is an up and coming city, and they do play in one of the best leagues in the country.

hey forbes, your right people in miami dont like sports. that is american sports. you apparently have never been to miami. miami is a soccer city its population thrives with foreign people of soccer country descent, the papers always have soccer in the paper. with good players the people here will come and support their team. i think it has a chance to match toronto if the franchise is willing to spend money and go after good players that are well known, especially from south america.

hey jake, you must not be watching the celts. rondo is going to be a monster player for them, hes only in his second yeear and hes playing great, wait till he fine tunes his offense of game and you will def think highly of him. i think cassell would be great as a back up, so would damon s.
Posted Monday January 28, 2008, About: Miami stadium seeks MLS team
anything to get a team in miami will be a good thing for mls. wetheir its with fiu, or with the current orange bowl site. the truth is miami is a soccer city, its not an american sports city, their's a reason why the heat, and marlins dont do well. the majority of people in miami-dade are from nations were soccer is king. if a team came to miami and was willing to spend money on good players, you will see a huge reaction from the area, and i could really see a toronto like atmosphere in miami. who wouldnt want to live in miami either its a wonderful happening city that of coarse is warm all year round. mls do the right thing and choose miami as an expansion team, you wont be sorry.

this is huge for the league, gallardo is a fantastic player, and one that will bring excitment to the league that it surely lacks. Now lets see were gomez goes, i would like him to go to my revs, it would be a perfect fit.
Posted Thursday January 24, 2008, About: Giants lineman takes shots at Patriots
come on usi, are you crazy? i just cant believe players still talk junk about my pats priar to game day. its official 100% success when trash is talked, we will win and we will be one sport short of a 3 peat, celts need a vet point guard and we will win. BOSTON is the best sports town in america, we def have the best fans!!!!!
Posted Wednesday January 23, 2008, About: Red Bulls target Argentine
palacio is not coming here, hes a young talented palyer that is on the radar of big european teams. until mls increases the salary cap, their is no way we are going to get a player of that quality until hes 35, but dont get me wrong i would love to see him here.
Posted Wednesday January 23, 2008, About: U.S. undecided on World Cup bid
i hope we get it. by then we will be a team that will really compete in the worlds biggest tournament, and it will be huge for mls. last time in 94 it really sprung us into what weve started to accomplish now. i can only imagine the spring board it will be into really dominating at the club and international level.

please brady will be fine, if im a giants fan then i would be nervous. quick stat for ya everytime brady has a bad game, the next one he always lights it up, guarenteed. i just hope no giants players open their mouths and talk ****, because everyone knows thats dooms day for the opposing team too. the giants are just not good enough to beat the pats, this is history no one can mess with the pats this year, no one.

you have to love this for ny or whoever he goes to (dc). anytime you can get a player of this caliber you have to be excited. the mls doesnt have anyone really that has his flair for the game, we need more of his type in mls, it will create more buzz for the league. can the revs please get a dp player gallardo would be perfect for ne, since there major hole is a creative playmaker. kraft spend some money and go after a big name, it needs to happen.
Posted Monday January 21, 2008, About: Argentine int'l Gallardo to MLS?
this to me would be the best signing for mls. gallardo is a great player with instincts that simply dont exist in mls. i would love for him to go to the revs, but im sure hes headed to dc, but either way its a win for the league, keep them coming
Posted Monday January 21, 2008, About: Bradley getting noticed in Europe
