wow...this clown has some real genius' working for him. Has his agent ever represented anyone before? doesn't matter what you think you're worth. no way you will get more money than someone playing your position did that went 3 picks higher than you are. here is the problem with these rookie contracts. non of them have done anything to warrant their salaries yet you've got clowns like this thinking that they already are owed more than what a team wants to give them. man it would be nice if the NFL started giving their veterans these kinds of salaries and making the rookies work for it before they hit payday. maybe then they wouldn't be so eager to sit out and hold out for more money.

Posted Monday July 27, 2009, About: T.O.: Goodell needs to go to jail
if vick hadn't lied straight the to face of his Owner, GM, and the Commissioner, maybe he would be reinstated by now. He did his time for the crime he committed, but the damage he did to the NFL is still there. He needs to show he has changed his ways because the NFL is a business. Just because you do your time in court, most companies in the country aren't just going to welcome back with open arms a convicted felon. He has work to do before any company, not just the NFL, should or even would consider him for a job.

Here's an idea, if he doesn't like sitting in jail, how about not committing crimes or killing dogs? If I was convicted of those crimes, pretty sure my employer wouldn't just hire me back right after my sentence was over. I'm guessing they would have filled my position with someone else and there wouldn't be much I could do about that either.
Posted Wednesday July 15, 2009, About: Mir calls out Lesnar for rematch
Lesnar made a rookie mistake in that first loss to Mir. Had he not been pulled off him for "hitting the back of the head" in the first fight by the moron mazagatti, he would have won that one in the first round. In fact, until the idiot ref pulled him off, he was about 5 seconds from getting pulled off him to stop the fight because he was killing Mir then too.

Only way Mir deserves a shot to fight him again is if he beats the loser of the Carwin/Velasquez fight and then beats the winner of that one too, he may even need to beat the winner of the Couture/Nog fight too. He was dominated in both of the Lesnar fights and got extremely lucky in the 1st fight on 2 occassions to get a win there. Adding more muscle may not hurt his chances, but it doesn't appear he is as quick as Lesnar. The other thing to remember is that Brock is stronger than his size. He is like a grizzly bear and then you throw in the quickness of a lightweight on top of it? Mir might be able to add weight, but it's pretty hard to add that kind of quickness after adding 20-30 pounds.
Posted Wednesday July 08, 2009, About: Champ defends Cutler
Cutler is going to be a good QB. For the love of God, when his horrible, horrendous defense would only give up 21 points (yeah, 21, that's not even an above average D, that's still below average) he was 13-1 and putting up Pro Bowl numbers. Not to mention he was doing this on a team that had 7 RBs on the IR!! He put up huge passing numbers against D's that basically knew that they were going to pass on every play and they still couldn't stop him. McDaniels (and more so Bowlen) were fools for looking for another QB. Cutler was a moron for not calling Bowlen back, but when you've got a QB that is 25 years old, coming off 3 seasons of marked improvement and after a season in which he made the Pro Bowl and threw for 4000+ yards, you don't look to trade him. There is a reason that no other team in NFL history has ever done that. QBs are too hard to find. McDaniels is a complete and total moron for how he handled it and should never have been looking for another QB to begin with.

Cutler might not put up the same numbers as he did in Denver, I mean, they have a running game and all, but he is still a top 10, top 5 QB in the league. Denver will regret letting him go and if Chicago turns him loose and gets a couple of good WRs, he's going to be really good and win a couple SBs before he's done.
Posted Wednesday April 15, 2009, About: Broncos QB job is Orton's to lose
that is the scariest thing I've heard in a long time. the QB job is Orton's to loose. The scarier thing, that I would PREFER that Orton be the QB because Chris Simms is terrible. I'd rather them go dig up Major Applewhite to play QB than Simms. When Simms was at UT, my biggest fear as a Sooner fan was that the OU D would hurt Simms and they'd put in Applewhite because he was so much better than Simms. Please, God, please let McDaniels turn Orton into this year's Matt Cassell.
Posted Wednesday April 01, 2009, About: Who will quarterback the Broncos?
denver will regret this decision forever. this has to be the 1st time in NFL history that a team traded away a 3rd year QB coming off successive seasons of improvement and a pro-bowl spot. YOU NEVER TRADE A 25 YEAR OLD QB THAT IS CONSIDERED A FRANCHISE QB. You hear all the time how the QB is the most important position on the field, yet Denver just decides that QBs are a dime a dozen and they can go out and find another one that is as good as Cutler or better without a problem???? Worst decision in Denver franchise history and this will be biting them in the tail-end for years to come. They had a playoff caliber offense before McDaniels got there and he's managed to remove the most important piece of their team in a manner of a couple of months. He should be fired, along with Xanders for allowing it to get this far. Bowlen drank the McDaniels Kool-aid and this is just a truly monumental mistake for the Broncos.
Posted Thursday March 26, 2009, About: Source: Isiah talked to Clippers about job
he destroys the CBA, then he takes the once proud Knick franchise and drive them into the mud, and now how could the Clippers even THINK about hiring him? They have pretty much been the laughing stock of the NBA for the last 20 years so I'd say with his "impeccable" track record, there should only be 1 team in LA in about 2 years after they hire him...
Posted Wednesday March 25, 2009, About: McDaniels: I didn't go after Cassel
McDaniels is just a tool. You can't say that Jay is our QB and then in the next breath claim that "Cassell would improve their team significantly". So, in other words, Cassell is better than Cutler. Funny how he seems to be the only HC in the NFL that thinks that. I notice there weren't 10+ teams lining up to get Cassell's services like they are for Cutler. McDaniels, WAKE UP!!! Cutler is 10 times the QB that Cassell will ever be. You don't trade a top 5 QB for a top 15 QB just because he's more familiar with your system because you want to win this year. He's messing with an offense that, despite going through 7 RBs last year, was 2nd in the NFL in yards. Stop screwing with the high powered offense and fix the horrible defense!!
Posted Tuesday March 10, 2009, About: Hughes might change weight
he's obviously suffering from one too many kicks/elbows to the head. talk about a total massacre, fighting Silva? Silva walks around at 220 and cuts to get to 205. Silva would make Hughes look worse than GSP did in both those fights combined. Silva'd use him as target practice. Matty boy, just go fight Serra, beat him like a red-headed step child, and then take the tractor back to the farm and retire. No one wants to watch a "past his prime" fighter (see Couture, Randy or Abbott, Tank)
Posted Thursday March 05, 2009, About: Teddy Atlas: UFC isn't hurting boxing
boxing loses fans because no one wants to pay to watch a bunch of no names fight. MMA, UFC in particular, has marketed themselves in a way that they are putting on serious fights with contenders or contenders in the making in every show they do. Plus, when they are coming at you once, twice a month with shows of that type, they might not get the purses that boxing guys do for that one big show, but you add up all the shows the UFC does in the year and compare that to the couple of big bouts a year in boxing, I'd bet things are pretty close.

plus, boxing is fixed...
Posted Tuesday March 03, 2009, About: Piniella outraged by ESPN criticism
if phillips was any good at evaluating players, he'd probably still be a GM. I'd guess since lou basically started him for the entire year last year before having to try someone else at the end of the year and in the playoffs, lou gave him every chance to get "assimilated" to the culture and club. Phillips comment is ridiculous.
Posted Monday February 23, 2009, About: White: Corner man greased St-Pierre
I'm not sure BJ wins that fight, but even during the fight, it was pretty evident that BJ wasn't able to keep his legs or arms on GSPs back. I think we all have seen BJ stretch in ways that most would think are humanly impossible, but he just wasn't doing anything. The times he tried to get his legs wrapped around, it looked like he couldn't lock them up. Say what you want, but if you take away his ability to grapple and use his BJJ, that is a huge advantage to GSP. As far as GSP not getting punished, I think if his corner guy did it, that falls on GSP to take a hit too. Those corner guys are chosen by the fighters and if you punish the corner guy, the fighter has to go with him. No matter what happens, its the fighters responsibility for choosing the guy and you can't tell me if he was getting Vaseline applied to his back that he didn't know about it.
Posted Thursday February 12, 2009, About: Ken Shamrock blasts Frank Shamrock
ah, last time I checked, Ken pulled out of the fight, like hours before it was supposed to happen with Kimbo, thus giving petrozelli the best 20 seconds of his life. Ken has so obviously been hit in the head way too many times. Maybe those clowns that he keeps around him should stop telling him he's still "the badest man on the planet" and tell him the truth. He's done, he doesn't have it anymore and all he's going to accomplish by fighting anymore is just injuring himself seriously, permanantly

Posted Tuesday December 23, 2008, About: Red Sox eyeing Mauer in 2011
twins will have him signed to an extension long before this could even happen. they've made him the face of the franchise and he's one of the guys they'll actually spend a good chunk of money on. they won't let him get to free agency.
Posted Thursday November 20, 2008, About: Big 12 could get 3 BCS bids
there is a rule that a conference can only have 2 teams in the BCS games. Nice little article though, but it could never happen. See the Big 12 last year. Missouri finishes 2nd in the conference after losing the conference title game and loses it spot to Kansas. Missouri was ranked #1 last year until losing to OU twice and never made it to the BCS.

No doubt, there will be at least 3 teams from the Big 12 that deserve a BCS bowl (OSU could sneak in if they beat OU) but that will never happen. Thanks to no playoff system, the teams that really deserve a shot at the big games are stuck just making money for there schools in a game that doesn't even matter.
Posted Tuesday November 18, 2008, About: Couture defends ref's decision
just thank god that mazzagotti wasn't reffing the fight. he would have stopped the fight and taken away a point from lesnar for a blow to the back of the head.
Posted Monday October 27, 2008, About: Lesnar seeks referee veto
If I were an MMA fighter, I'd always ask that Mazzagotti not be my ref. He is terrible, he makes terrible decisions, and he just looks like a little moron. Besides, if I'm anyone fighting in the heavyweight division and I'm getting pounded on, I'm pretty sure I'd want someone a little larger pulling the guy off the top of me than Mazzagotti.

I really can't remember the last fight I saw him officiate that he didn't screw up.
Posted Wednesday October 01, 2008, About: Cowboys tell Pacman to be less visible off field
Pacman is a dirtbag, but a beach volley ball game? Hooters? Not exactly high profile places or really a place that you could get into trouble. Strip clubs and bars are one thing, but to stop him from going to a "family" restaurant?
Posted Tuesday July 22, 2008, About: Johnson to appeal TKO loss
steve mazagatti was the ref so it should come as no surprise that he screwed up the outcome. he is the worst official in MMA and I can't believe they keep paying him money to screw up bouts.
