Honestly, it seems sometimes like these writers forget that the selling clubs have an opinion on these matters. I realize it seems sometimes like Chelski can just do whatever they want, but that isn't always the case.
Milan is going to regret this purchase.
That, or they're just trying to break Avram Grant's record set last year of 7 central midfielders on the pitch at one time.
All I've ever seen from him is stuff like this, and in every soccer TD his annoucement that 'soccer sucks' or something to that effect. I'd be embarassed if I were from Nebraska.
Also, what on earth happened to Dain Wise? Why is he playing guard? We need someone experienced at LT for the love of god.
Also, Sunderland have spent A LOT of cash this offseason, and none of their new signings looked good this last weekend.
On the other hand, 9 million euro for a guy with his youth, talent and past accomplishments isn't a terrible investment.
Berbatov moving might also re-open the Goran Pandev scenario, which I think would be a great one provided it happens at a reasonable price.
Spurs also have a pretty massive kitty now assuming they're putting these funds towards new signings.

Methinks this one is a little slow. Have you ever been in a sports practice? It isn't a game situation...coaches and players have to TALK to one another more or less constantly; communicating with one another is vital to accomplishing anything, and any number of things can distract from this.
It'd hardly be noticeable in a full stadium, but in a nearly empty practice facility having one guy yelling rude things to one player is going to be distracting to the entire team. This was no time and place for heckling, and you have no business criticizing Roy for not wanting the guy there.
I like Roy's response...what if Roy went to the McDonalds where this guy works and just stood in front of the counter heclking him for making sloppy hamburgers?
If they get a big money offer for someone, I think they're going to take it...this isn't going to be a CL side any time soon.
Deportivo might look to keep him this season, as his star really only started to rise last year (and then I think he missed some significant time late in the year), or maybe sell him at midseason when one of the big clubs makes a desperation purchase. I wouldn't be surprised if they put a price on him of 30 million Euro or more in any case...he's worth it in my opinion.
Also, he is just about the right age for the MLS. Heh.
(raises hand)
Uh...yes. I'm the Liverpool representative. We will take Andres Guardado. Yes, thank you.
Can we pursue someone...good...now?
Here Rafa, I'll help you out:
Jeremy Menez
Sergio Aguero
Simao
Joaqin
Diego
Santi Cazorla
Steven Defour
etc...
See Rafa, it isn't that hard to find young, pacy, and talented players for LESS that you wanted to pay for Barry! Woo!
That being said, I suspect our next target will be Lampard, as he is old, slow, expensive, and a central midfielder.
