With regards to my comment about Shanny...While with the Rangers, Shannahan posed the idea of bringing in Avery to New York, saying that he might bring the edge that this tema is lacking. He had played with him in Detroit and saw that the Kings were trying to unload him. So, in essence, it was Shannahan who brought him to NY. btw...do you ever visit HockeyBuzz?you seem familiar
