To anyone who is under the mistaken impression that I think KU belongs in a BCS bowl... I don't. If you would take the time to read my blog, you would know this. Missouri deserves a BCS bowl spot more than Kansas. The current BCS system is not flawed--it's broken. It's a joke. And Kansas in the Orange Bowl confirms it.

So if you've read this far, you won't make the same mistake again in your assumption about me. But hey, you might have more important things to do. Like brag about your own team, or belittle one of mine.

I won't stoop down to that level. So look elsewhere for trash talk.

Well, hey, we did screw them out of the league championship last year, but I personally don't closely watch them (it's hard to do in Oregon.

hemogoblin, if you're referring to my comment on your profile, about Eintracht Frankfurt... ;-) Anyway, I agree, it's not easy to watch Bundesliga here in the U.S., I think when I had the "sports pack" with Fox Soccer Channel and Gol TV, there were a few (not many) games on Gol TV. And even those are mostly Bayern anyway. :-p It's much easier to watch the English Premiership, but that's another story...

Profile Update: I decided not to jinx the Toon any further with the "King Kev" pic and decided it was time to make the change. So I changed my picture to Alan Shearer, the Geordie "local hero" who is the England Premier League's all-time top goalscorer. He didn't win any "silverware" with Newcastle United, but he *did* win an EPL title with Blackburn Rovers in 1994/95. He moved to Newcastle United in summer 1996, when he was signed by Kevin Keegan of all people, allegedly spurning the offers of Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United. I just hope he doesn't tarnish his reputation by taking on the Newcastle manager's job before he's ready--if ever...

Profile Update: I've added a lot of pics from the Kansas City Wizards games I attended a few weeks ago, and also for the moment I'm using my "South Park" custom character for my profile pic. Admittedly I'd rather be teaching geography in college rather than elementary school, hence the expression on my face... ;-)

Community America Ballpark, for this season and next, while the soccer-specific stadium is being built. They played at Arrowhead up through last season, but it makes as much sense as NY Red Bull playing in Giants Stadium--no sense at all, that is, except when FC Beckham comes to town (and that game will be at Arrowhead this year, though I don't think I'll go to that one).
