Sorry to disappoint, but this redneck reads very well. And has a great ablility to spot a load of fecal matter served up by a blind, no-football-knowledge, spud that has a lot of hot air and attitude but no substance. As usual, that nasty inferiority complex leads to jealous tirades by classless fans.

The only reason is that they haven't played the ISU/A&Ms yet. They were busy polishing off the Tractor & Seamstress All Girl teams. Epic battle? Maybe. But considering that neither team has played anyone much bigger than most high schools, that is kind of difficult judgment to make. Maybe it was just an "epic battle" between two mediocre teams that are no where near any kind of championship. Come to me when they have won a game or two against REAL teams.

As usual, the Big 12 is really big early on against all the weak creampuffs. Lets see if they continue their trend of folding like a cheap lawn chair when it comes championship time. Once you guys can string together more than one big win in a blue-moon then tell me how great the Big 12 is.

OK guys. It is Tuesday. Let's be getting in those "Next Best Three" nominees in. Don't wait till the last minute and put me under the gun. I have to have just a little time to study the matchups.

I can't stand the stereotype that everyone thinks about rednecks and people from the south as hillbillies, trash, and people who can't read. Ridiculous....

JDawg I don't call all southerners rednecks just Brucie here. I grew up in Roswell GA, went to school in SC and Virginia. He got the label because he didn't respond to what I said in my blog which is this year could we say SEC is overrated.

As for other comments only SEC Homers came to your aid.

Next as to creampuffs. The entire SEC has played 1 top 25 team in their nonconference. That was Alabama beating Clemson who we all have seen as a fraud by now.

On the other hand the Big 12 has gone 3-1 in such games. OU over TCU is ranked even after that loss. Mizzou over Illinois. Colorado over West Virginia. The only stumble was a 3pt road loss of Kansas against South Florida.

And yes Texas played Colorado; OU played Baylor, Texas Tech played Kansas state and Nebraska; Mizzou played Nebraska; Kansas played ISU and Colorado; OSU played Tex A&M. But wait not one of the top teams lost to the bottom rung teams.

Ask Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss if the same is true when they played your SEC powers.

Unraveled? No, not hardly by any like you Armentrout. However, I do hate to lower myself to the level of a classless clown such as yourself. As I pointed out earlier, it would seem that the vast majority of the comments on your blog appear to agree with me that you are a football ignorant blow-hard, who like any petulant child, resorts to bluster and tantrums when someone dares to disagree with you. However, your ignorance is exceeded only by your total lack of class and your nonexistent social skills. It is no wonder that your blog is so poorly read as most other people must have also recognized you for the pompous jerk that you are. I am sure you are so proud of your dialogue with me as it is the only way any of your lame posts get read. That might explain why my "homers" came to my "aid" and you stand alone. Judging from the sparkling personality and wit you have demonstrated so far, I am quite sure that you are use to being by yourself.

However, I am through wasting my time with you. If you can bring some intelligence and civility to your discussion, you are welcome to post on my blog. If not, please keep your poor attitude and bad manners to yourself.

In addition, to any other Big 12 fans that might have been offended by any of my comments: I do apologize. My comments were directed only at Mr. Armentrout and his insulting behavior and I in no way believe that he is representative of the class of Big 12 fans. I am sure that the majority of you also share my disdain for him and the poor light he casts on other Big 12 fans.

As for the SEC/Big 12 discussion, all will be told by seasons end. We'll see how the final standings find both conferences.

No sir, the correct term is "read" as in anyone reading. My I suggest a dictionary and grammar studies. Although, if you choose to refer to your blog as poorly written I won't attempt to argue the point. However, for future reference: "to read (third-person singular simple present reads, present participle reading, simple past and past participle read) 1. (transitive, intransitive) To look at and interpret letters or other information that is written."

As for any of your "points" I addressed all of those in my first post - which by the way did not attempt to insult or belittle you. If I am considered a "redneck" then I prefer that label instead of whatever you consider yourself to be.

Also, I might point out that those friends of mine that you accuse of being "4 other SEC homers" are actually fans of several different conferences. True, some do live in the South, but have allegiances elsewhere. By the way, it is my belief that friends are measured in quality and not quantity. And amazingly, with only my paltry "20 friends" to your amazing "many" friends, it would seem that many more people would prefer to READ (as in to read) my posts as opposed to yours.

And lastly (and truly the last I time I will address this with you) I stated my points in my original comment on your blog post. I also responded in the sarcastic, banal tone that you wrote the blog post. I did not result to personal insults, or belittle you in any way - other than have the audacity to disagree with your egotistical view of being the only one right.

Now I am truly done with this and you. I have much better things to do than waste my time here. If I desire intelligent, insightful, thoughtful discussion about college football, I will look up one of 20 friends. I think that following quote sums up my feelings exactly:

Congrats to the the Gators for their win. Now I hope that they will defend the honor and reputation of the SEC and keep the Crystal Football in the family.

I am still very proud of the Tide and what they have accomplished this year. I am already looking forward to next year and see if they can improve on this year. I think we will be seeing the Gators again in the Championship game - perhaps with a different outcome.

In the meantime, ROLL TIDE! and good luck to ALL the SEC teams in the bowls!

Welcome back bud.

I would like to thank one and all for the warm "Welcome Back!" that I have received. I have really missed my friends and fellow football fanatics. It is good to be back.

If you will notice, I have restarted The SEC And The Next Best 3 blog. My humble thanks to my friend Norka for continuing the blog in my absence. He did a great job! And for those who have become accustomed to reading Norka's posts, he is now penning The Big 10 And The Next Best 3. Be sure to check it out.

I am sorry to report that the Week 12 version of the SEC & NB3 will not be posted due to a death in the family that has necessitated my traveling out of town. Hopefully, things will be back to normal next week. Thanks to all who have expressed their condolences and concerns. Bruce
