Good blog, I hope Mich beats Ohio State, but in this crazy year, it seems anyone could. With this many upsets, I have no clue whos going to win it all.
We're still pushing towards a BCS bowl here in Kentucky. However, we can't lose another game if we want a chance for that to happen. Our toughest test will definately be @ Georgia, though...but we are coming off a bye week. I don't think UT, MSU, or Vandy should give us much trouble, even though Vandy is better this year. Good luck to the Dawgs, and to my Cats.
I agree re: Kansas. I was simply noting the weakness that stood out yesterday. Even struggling a Nebraska squad was able to move the ball with ease in the first half. Jayhawks will have to pick up their D game before they could handle a team like Oregon. Mangino is an offensive man and it shows. That said, I've thought the Jayhawks were "for real" for quite awhile, and I've heard yesterday's defensive performance was unusually wek for them. No doubt they're a solid team. If it comes to it in the Big 12 title race, coaching matchup between Mangino and Stoops would be interesting to see. Kudos on your picks for the week. I missed Ok State and Alabama, where I picked the upsets, and BC, where I didn't.
Though UK caught LSU after playing a very tough and emotional game against Florida and others and winning in Triple Overtime, please don't think UK has arrived as a program just yet. You are still in the Music City Bowl and LSU is the SEC Championship and is playing for the BCS National Championship so there is literally no comparison. LSU won it's SEC Championship fair and square on the field just like it was suppose to do against the Eastern Division Champ and that was not Georgia.
All this talk about Georgia being so good, well they shouldn't have lost to Tennessee by 34-14 and South Carolina and all of this talk about their BCS Chances wouldn't be going on. They will meet a surprising team in the Sugar Bowl that just may beat them. LSU beat both of Tennessee and South Carolina, so why should Georgia be ahead of LSU anyway. LSU has handed the UK widcats their rear ends for many years and have owned them for many years, so why not just be happy about winning one this year from the possible BCS Champion and act like you have been there before.
Kentucky's chances just got that much better against FSU. 20 players suspended from their Bowl this year AND the first 3 games of next season? That's going to hurt like hell.
FSU should just quit tiptoeing around the obvious and can Bowden. You can't in all honesty believe he was completely oblivious to it. The program's been mired by mediocrity and this is only more egg on the face. How much more can they take before they give Bobby the old heave-ho?
Merry Christmas. Your UGA Bulldogs look very good at this point and I would not really argue with them playing maybe the best ball in the SEC at this time. However, we will see how LSU plays since they will be totally healthy for the first time since way back early in the season.
Looks like due to injuries and suspensions, the 'Noles lost a combined total of 36 players. If Kentucky can't win this game, it'll be a huge embarassment for the Wildcats.
Oh you know I'm gearing up for college football. Looking forward to seeing my Gators in another bowl, though I don't feel they'll be back in the BCS Championship game this year. I really think this year is the year of the 'Dawgs after the strong showing last season. Looks like it's Georgia's turn to bring the title back to the SEC.

Report Offensive CommentYep, both Okie State and Bama had the upsets in hand. Both blew it at the very end. How TX keeps managing to win is beyond me.
