I like the Giants because when I was born, my cousin got me into them and I never liked another team since. When they lost the Super Bowl in 2001, I was devastated and disappointed with the performance of Kerry Collins. I didn't think they would win a Super Bowl for a while after that but they made a surprise run and won it in 2008 after winning against the previously undefeated New England Patriots. They have built a new dynasty without Phil Simms or Bill Parcells or Lawrence Taylor which is great. My parents are both Yankees fans so I grew up a Yankees fan because there are no teams in Connecticut. I was born in 1995 and I never saw one championship even though they won 4 while I was alive in the first five seasons of the Joe Torre managerial era. My favorite player is Alex Rodriguez even though he went out with Madonna. I also like the Lakers because they played in the first basketball game I ever saw in the 2000 playoffs when they later went on to win the title. It was a good year so I decided to stick with the Lakers. My dad is a huge Boston Celtics fan and I hate the Celtics. The Lakers lost to them in the Finals and I was very upset for a while. I also like the Notre Dame college football team because Brady Quinn got me to like and enjoy watching them after I was a Connecticut Huskies fan. I am a Huskies fan for college basketball and in the 2004 Final Four, it was the greatest game ever witnessed. Down 21 points at halftime, UConn came all the way back and best the Duke Blue Devils by one. Luol Deng and J.J. Reddick played for them at the time and UConn had Emeka Okafor who scored all of his 18 points in the second half of that game. Then they went on to win the title against Georgia Tech and were the best team. They started out second this year and a surprise season on the way. I like the New York Rangers because that is the closest team. I used to really like Jaromir Jagr but not as much now and I am starting not to follow hockey as much.
