You had a blog asking if PIT was America team now.

Well lets see, yes you have the six super bowl championships, good for you! But look at other numbers. Dallas has been to the super bowl more than anybody, 8 times, Dallas been to a lot of championship games(a game away from super bowl I, II,VII,XV,XVI,XVII, and XXIX) and I know PIT has lost 7 confence games too, so you do have us beat there. Dallas has the record for the most playoff wins in the NFL(DAL 32-24, PIT 31-19)(Dallas have not won one in 12 years and still hold it)!Also PIT has been around since 1933 but yet you have 100 more wins than Dallas, Dallas has been around since 1960 almost 30 years! But only a 100 more wins? (PIT all time is 520-488-20 .516, Dallas is 423-309-6 .578) We have more years in the playoffs(29) than Pit (25). Keep in mind Pit has been around almost 30 years longer. Also we have a 14- 13 rercord against PITT all time. So basicly we are we are either one above or one behide so that makes us about even, I guess.

And I know more championships means more than all of these, well PIT you have six we have five. When the 49ers won there 5th super bowl, what does dallas do the next year? Win the big one so go ahead and claim PIT the most successful NFL team(you are right now.) But the phrase America's team is about being popular, not even your 6 titles can knock that crown from dallas. Right now the dallas cowboys are the most popular team in the NFL,(acording to the Harris poll of NFL popularity in the last 10 years dallas has a average of 1.66, PITT has an averge of 5.2)Dallas has not won a playoff game in that time but we are at the top almost every year, Why? Now this poll was before the super bowl win by PITT so even if Pitt gets ranked 1st and dallas falls to 32nd this would mean an 11 year averge for dallas of 4.27, and for PITT of 4.81 so like I said no one comes close. The NFL is the most popular sport in America. So Dallas is the most popular team in America, and the most popular team form America around the world. Also Dallas is worth is about 1.612 billion, PITT is worth about 1.015 Billion. But, since dallas is the most popular, it also make it the most hated, such as the Yankees, such as the Lakers. Now maybe I am wrong, maybe I am not. Maybe Romo gets the monkey off his back and wins at least a playoff game, maybe PIT wins there 7 title, but hey New England could past us both up.

PITT is the model franchise that every team has looked up to in the past 20 years...the Pats success and structure hinges from what they saw the Rooneys do with the Steeler organization and Dallas despite the numbers and averages people keep posting here are not in the same ballpark when it comes to class and envy...everybody wants to be like the Steeler organization and every NFL fanbase whiches they rolled like STEELER-NATION...plain and simple!
