I've avoided writing about USC this season because, well, I
haven't really known what to say. Like Pete Carroll, I don't really know what
words to use.

The first loss, to Washington,
wasn't really a surprise since the Trojans usually drop a close game to a
bottom-of-the-Pac-10 opponent. The Oregon
game was just shockingly bad.

But when Stanford gave 'SC its third - and hopefully last -
loss of the '09 season, it was ugly.

At home, for homecoming, USC got owned. The Matt Barkley era is off to a great start, huh?

Under the American justice system, everyone accused of a crime is - at least theoretically - innocent until proven guilty. So, at least in theory, I shouldn't jump to any conclusions regarding the three Tennessee football players who were arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery. But let's just say, for argument's sake, that they are eventually found guilty.
