Big Carolina Panthers fan, I support the Charlotte Bobcats though I don't consider myself a fan. I like the Sooners in football but I have always been a die hard Carolina Tarheels fanatic. I like NASCAR racing and have several drivers I pull for, most of all Dale Jr, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick are also in my group and it's no coincidence that they all drive Chevy's.

Once again it's that time of year, there's no football on tv, no free agency, no draft and very little to talk about. This is the time of year that brings endless speculation from all walks of life. The "experts" with their theories, fair weather fans with their thoughts and people like me who are absolutely bored to tears at this point in the season. It's tough sitting here scanning all the sports websites and not finding anything about my team. What's more, there is very little about any team. We are left to ponder what's to come in the next two months. March…

The reigning Super Bowl Champions will meet in a showdown this Sunday against the Pre-season Super Bowl favorites in a game that should make most of us....cringe. Neither the Steelers nor the Panthers have lived up to their pre-season prognostications or aspirations. Both teams are similiar in their philosophies. Both teams focus on stopping the run and effectively running the ball thus controlling the clock and the game of field position. Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. Name is John Watson and I look forward to contributing to this here web site. I have aspirations of becoming a writer, whether it's for sports or otherwise is beyond me right now. My goal is to get into NASCAR or with the Panthers and do some sales/marketing/PR work and see where it leads. I am always open to advice and friendly conversation and hope to learn a lot about the regulars here. I have enjoyed this site so far and hope to watch and help it grow. Thanks guys.
