In response to:Mets to make run at Zambrano?If the Cubs end up putting ace pitcher Carlos Zambrano on the trading block, the Mets will go after him. According to one MLB team executive, the Mets would be "heavily involved" if the Cubs look to trade Zambrano. The Cubs could potentially deal him prior to the July 31 deadline.Being a true cubs fan, this could be a horrible tragedy. With Prior, Maddux, and Wood all gone, the Cubbies would be dreadful with out a good, healthy pitcher like Zambrano. Sure we've got Ohman and all but one pitcher can't pitch every single game.

Manning has become a good quarterback, but not the elite one the Giants believed they would get when they made a draft-day trade in 2004.I think Eli has game and is able to take his team to a close championship. He may not be as good as Peyton, but no one else really is. He needs a few years to get better.
