I knew it was too good to be true.  After a dismal 2nd half to the 2006 season, Turnbow was having a great season as the setup man.  Until he met the Phillies.  Turnbow blew it in the 8th yesturday, allowing 4 runs plus 2 he inherited to score in the 6 run 8th inning which cost the brewers the game.  Today, the Brewers offense gave them a chance, tying the game up on Estrada's homerun in the 9th, only to have Turnblow throw a 2-1 fastball right down the middle, which was promptly sent out of the stadium by Ruiz.  Is Turnbow regaining his late '06 form, or just…

Yes, the Brewers lost 2 out of 3 to the Mets.  Lets break the games down a bit though.  On Friday, the Brewers only lost by one run, 5-4, in a game filled with fireworks.  6 homeruns total i think.  In game two, the Crew spanked the Mets 12-3 in a game where the young guys really showed they can hit, and the Mets bullpen showed they are a bit concerning.  Hardy hit a GS and continues to tear the cover off the ball so far.  Today was not a good day for the Crew as they lost 9-1, overshadowed by a big 8th inning in which the mets stuck 5 runs on Elmer "the…

Brett Favre Demands A Trade

Furious over the Packer's failed attempt at trading for Randy Moss, Brett Favre's agent called Ted Thompson today and demanded a trade.  Yes, he was that mad.  The Packers could have gotten Moss for a 5th rounder early, until the Pats swooped in and stole him for a 4th.  Moss reportedly really wanted to play for the Packers and would have restructered his deal in favor of the Packers.  However, T Squared balked.  Now you have a future HOFer who really wanted a playmaker, has none.  He lost his RB, Driver is getting old, Bubba is slow, and other than that…
