Nikolai

Almost all of my American family is from Connecticut, so when we lived there I was caught in the middle of all of the Yankees/Red Sox drama, the choice between the Giants and the Patriots, and the Rangers/Whalers/Bruins debate. Hockey is my favorite sport, but it's rather difficult to keep track of these days. The Rangers are my team, to my dismay sometimes, but I'll stick by em, even if they sign someone like Lindros again (oy!). Football is truly a sport of compromise for me. I am a Patriots fan first and foremost, but I will pull for the G-men whenever the Patriots aren't involved. Until recently, that meant many sad weekends sitting on the couch hoping at least one of the two teams could win a game. The only basketball I can watch is UConn and Team Lithuania. I like to joke around, and have some friendly debates. I have a cynical and dark sense of humor, and enjoy a good satire every now and then. I can laugh at how bad my teams are, and how poorly perceived the good teams are.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen.  The Hoodie has returned.  I've decided that without my most evil asset, NFL domination will have to be put on hold for right now.  Instead I'll tell you about my summer break and answer your mail.As some of you have informed me in your mail, my evil legion lost the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.  They're so wholesome.  Instead of being involved in raucous orgies and murderous mayhem, Eli married his college sweetheart.  Bradshaw violated a probation, and Plax smacked his wife around a bit, but it's all…

I gave my troops the day off.  It really was the best thing to do.  I couldn't stand being around them after they failed to rub our victory in Baltimore's face.  It's feels like my team is coming apart, that everything I had taught them has gone to the wayside.  The Ravens are supposed to embody all the characteristics of evil and we let them off the hook.  Bart Scott throws a flag, so Rodney should have kicked one of the zebras in the face.I'm waiting for my latest mail from the SPCA, which should include, among other things, an invoice and a bag of…

I promise that I will be back to my sarcastic ways in my next blog, but I want to take a minute to address a few things I've noticed about the Patriots over the last few weeks.  I'm not going to rehash the tired "Brady is ice during the 4th quarter" bit, or the conspiracy theories like the new idea that the NFL is no longer out to get New England, but rather wants to help them.First, it seems that Vegas and those who groaned when these last two Patriot games were set for national TV are eating their words a bit.  These have been two fantastic football games. …
