Listening to sports radio and ESPN, I am tired of all the speculation around why Micheal Vick got into dog fighting. There are all kinds of theories and ideas.Was it an effort to keep his hip-hop street cred?Was this acceptable in his backwoods Southern upbringing?As an athlete, is he addicted to violence?And on and on and on.My opinion is that many folks feel like they have been fooled. Micheal was suppose to be the good Vick! He was the superstar that could carry a team on his shoulders. And on and on. Only seven more weeks until the season begins! I can hardly wait for kickoff. I've purposely avoided all the pre-season magazines and such just to get by. Reading stuff like that only makes the season that much further away. I hope this is a good football season, the anticipation before would make it anticlimatic if its not!

Well, its been a while since I posted another blog. 16 days to be exact. Too busy trying to survive the summer sports lull filled with nothing but baseball, the X games, and the MLS. That, and keep up with my five month old son. I wish I could say I was a baseball fan. At least it would give me something to do until the football season.Less than 50 days left until the season kicks off (no, I haven't been counting, but a local radio station does).
