I haven't updated this since last Saturday, but it appears that my comments about the Red Wings provided some sort of eerie foreshadowing for Wednesday's game five. Down 2-0 early, Detroit rallies, scores a tying goal with less than a minute left, and then nets the winner in overtime. After a relatively even first period, Detroit outshot San Jose 38-18 over the final two periods and overtime. Evgeni Nabokov (who hails from Kazakhstan.) can't buy a break. Nabokov has handled it excellently--he recorded a shutout in game one and has 'stood on his head' several times in this…
