I have Avenged Sevenfold live at Long Beach in the background...and checked the line on this weeks A&M - Ark tilt at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Saturday. The lines are 1 to 1 1/2...Hogs as the favorite. Really? Is that where we are?
Every magazine I read left us for dead...right below "chopped liver". BU was the media darlings for the breakout season, Ok St was a darkhorse Big XII champ, and OU and t.u. were challenging for the national title. I have been MIA for a while. A little depressed, but nowhere near the need for talking off the ledge. As I channel a little Peter Griffin here, "You know what really grinds my gears...?". I went looking for some college football preseason mags in the DFW Metro area. Holy Macaroni, entire sections on Fantasy Football. 2 Mags on College Football (Lindy's and Athlon). I had to order my Phil Steele online to pair with Dave Campbell.

After barely stomaching the 2008 season, and surviving the ridicule from my family and friends, I turned to the college football "second season", before the bowl season was officially over.And to my amazement, Sherman has tackled my main concern and passed with flying colors. Looking at Rivals.com...it seems as though the coach can recruit. Or more importantly, hire guys that can recruit. Wally, spread the word, shout it from moutaintops, whatever it takes: we need to steal Spurrier from S. Carolina as Fran's replacement. We need to pay the man whatever he asks. He is an offensive terrorist who's teams are fun to watch and he's always a contender. South Carolina was exploring new dimensions of suck until Spurrier turned them into a ranked team. The****! The same team that Spurrier, while at Florida, used to use as his homecoming punching bag. The Aggies need Spurrier. Hiring Tuberville would be settling. We've settled enough. We need to get a coach who can put us in title contension and we need to make him the highest paid coach ever. We can afford it. Aggies deserve better than we've gotten.

ok ok, I'm sorry for the "dumbass" comment, but the rest still stands.

hey there dumbass, how's it going? 1. I have not ONCE challenged an Aggie to a throwdonw. In fact, the throwdown you commented on was one in which an Aggie challenged me. I haven't ever challenged ANYONE to a throwdown, let alone a pathetically obsessed Aggie. If it seems that I go looking for Aggies to pick on, it's only because I comment on virtually every college football topic and TOPCOP has been posting about 2/3 of them, ALL ABOUT AGGIES. 2. Snead was in the KSU game and looked like an idiot who couldn't hit the side of the barn. Sure we scored some points, but only because we had so much offensive talent, and KSU sucks. But just so I can get this on record, Colt was hurt right? and his performance was affected right? 3. As for calls... In a close game one call CAN and often DOES effect the outcome of a game, just like a hit or a catch or a first down can. Don't act like I'm being a baby. Yes Vince's knee was down, but what no one ever remembers is that in the very same game during the second quarter, we intercepted a ball that was taken away from us, despite the replay evidence. With that second chance USC scored a touchdown on that very drive. So it makes up for it. Now the previous Aggie game, I don't really remember, I didn't get to watch the whole thing so you may be right. But I have a sneeking suspicion that you're full of crap. Plus we won by more than a touchdown, so it doesn't matter that much. TU is meant to be an insult, but it never really bothers us. It really just reinforces how obsessed with us you are, and that we are THE University of Texas. Thanks for playing!

I do have to say that I do like the Aggies, my son loves them, they played in houston at the college spring game and he got a team signed bat, he has watch the standing daily to see how good they have done. Its his four year getting a bat from them. Your team has taken my son who bleeds orange to having some red blood. Just keep winning every time that you guys play the longhorns.

Flordia is strong from top to bottom (as much as I hate to say that) But I really think that the vols are going to have a good year. There is never a easy day in the SEC, and we will have to watch spurrier, he's one hell of a coach and has brought in some great talent. The longhorns love my shirts till they read them, and the aggies hate my shirt even after they find out its a vols shirt..
