Two of baseball's best young stars, Mark Teixeira and Adam Dunn, are slated to hit the free-agent market at the end of the season. However, while both of these players are at the top of their game, (the entire game, for that matter), it is widely accepted that Teixeira is a far better player than Dunn, and will thus earn a much fatter paycheck come the off-season. In a recent Sports Illustrated article, my idol, Jon Heyman, predicted that Mark Teixeira will sign an 8 year/168 Million$ deal. Within the same article, Heyman predicted that Adam Dunn would sign a 5 year/70 million dollar deal.…

Welcome to week 3 of the MLB Offseason Hotplate. Sports illustrated has been blessed with a remarkably idiotic writer. Mr. Jon Heyman just wrote an article entitled "future earnings", in which he ranked the top 20 free agents available this offseason, and what he believes they will make. I am not here to disagree with his earning predicitions, because I am no expert on the value of baseball players.
