We've got less than 3 weeks now to opening weekend, and I can't wait. This should be a really good season for the Wildcats. After going through the league schedules, I get the same result as pretty much everyone outside the south: UGA in the national championship game. Using last season's ending Sagarin ratings and doing some adjusting according to who each team has returning (and what positions they play), along with some minor tweaks for things like bye weeks, I get the following for SEC teams:WESTLSU 12-0, 8-0 (lose to Georgia in SEC championship…

LSU got what they deserved karma-wise yesterday after their fans engaged in group cheers and chants (songs?) AND their pep band played WHILE THE UK BAND PLAYED My Old Kentucky Home before the game. No class whatsoever; I hope they lose every game left on their schedule. It sounds like they pretty accurately reflect their head coach judging by his comments after the game. UK versus #1 LSU

Not much reason for hope here for UK fans except that the game's at home, not that UK ever gets any breaks there, either. LSU now has the longest winning streak in the country, 13 games. Since the LSU debacle last year, the Wildcats are 10-2; 7-0 at home. Not counting Bill Curry (ugh!) and Hal Mumme years, UK is 2-7 all-time versus #1 teams.It looks like Rafael Little probably won't be able to play, so UK will have to try to establish a running game with Tony Dixon, a less-than-100% Alfonso Smith, and freshmen Derrick Locke and Moncel Allen.
