Like many of you, I enjoyed an outstanding 4th of July as barbequing, fireworks, friends and family filled my time. Nevertheless, being the intricate thinker I am, I couldn't help but think that the BCS has no place in mainstream American society or in the games we enjoy. Expect big things out of Carson Palmer in '07.

When I look at Carson Palmer, I see a quarterback who has the rare ability to make an already talented stable of skill position players (Chad Johnson, Rudi Johnson, etc.) look even better than they really are. With all due respect to stellar signal-callers such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Donovan McNabb, this season will be Palmer's to dominate statistically. The New NFL Europa in the American Southwest?

Perhaps to many of you, the demise of NFL Europa Friday is of little consequence. Nevertheless, the NFL not only needs to desperately seek out foreign markets to promulgate what is the greatest product in professional sports, there needs to be a bastion where teams can still develop future prospects who for whatever reason don't receive enough reps in training camp.
