Baseball is the only sport without some sort of Salary cap. It's about time they stepped in the 21st century. The yankees are a prime example of this fact. They dont have good personel people as evidenced by the continued need to pay huge contracts to players unworthy of it. You cant sit and tell me that Mark Texiera derseves $180 million dollars. What did he do for the braves last season, good stats, not good wins. A player should be paid on how well he helps the "TEAM" not how he pads his stats. Some the most valuable players to ever play sports didnt have the most gaudy stats.…

As a college football fan I just wanted to say a few things regarding the effect of the Appalachian State Mountaineers monumental upset of the University of Michigan Wolverines. Just let me say that I understand and appreciate the pain and frustration that all Michigan fans are feeling right now. I am not here to bash Michigan talk any trash towards their program, even though I bleed scarlet and gray. My problem is with the scheduling of 1 AA schools in the first place. I feel that by playing these lower echelon schools the top programs are not doing fans any justice. The fans want to see…

Alright I know everyone and their mom talks about the BCS and they have an opinion one way or the other. However I have a real problem with a championship being decided by a computer. I have a solution to the whole problem that would incorporate not only the bowls but also the polls. Now I like the fact that so many student athletes get to experience a bowl game right now so I don't propose scrapping the bowl system.
