Conference realignment coupled with pressure to have 7 home games every year has killed or is killing many fine college football rivalries. However, we can all be glad that 2013 features several excellent non-conference round-robins which I like to call "Bizarre Love Triangles" (after the song by New Order). ACC recruiting analysis

The ACC footprint extends from New England and the "Tri-state" area in the North, south down the Atlantic coastline all the way to Miami, FL, and soon it will extend west along the Ohio River to Indiana and Kentucky, too. So, how did ACC teams fare when it comes to keeping the home-grown talent at home? Some regions fared better than others, but by and large there is a LOT of room for improvement. If ACC teams could keep at least 50% of the best players in their own footprint, ACC football would be a force to be reconned with!

ACC Network - better than SEC Network?

Fans are funny... just ask a college football fan and he'll tell you that the SEC is going to make a ton of money on an SEC Network, but the ACC? Give it up, boys.Is that view realistic, though?To answer that, we have to ask what is really shown on a conference network - is it football? To a limited extent, sure. There might be a couple of games every week, though most likely not the most desirable games to see (that's being kind), and even then only from September through November.
