Listen, Alfonso Soriano isn't the most talented defensive players in all of baseball. That is just an obvious fact. He has had four different positions, yet he still manages to make errors. I'm not complaining. Fonzy is great. He is one of the best OFFENSIVE talents in baseball and has been for quite a while now. That said, even if there was a slight possibility that he could get an AB at some point in a tight game, possibly in extras, don't you take it? His bat speaks louder than his glove. Anyone could make an error on any given night, but no one can hit HR's and get on base in close games…

Micah Hoffpauir, the recent addition of the Chicago Cubs from their farm system, has looked pretty good in his first two appearances. Hoffpauir doubled in his first at-bat and again in the seventh inning, going 2-for-4 while making a relatively smooth transition to the outfield. He will keep that last spot and keep Felix Pie in Triple AAA Iowa a little longer than most expected. They are both left handed bats which the Cubs need more of.
