I'm a fan-A die hard. I wanted to marry Keith Hernandez when my classmates wanted to marry Kirk Cameron! (Still DO want to marry Keith!- sorry Kai I loved him 1st!) Grew up in JERSEY where you either were a MET fan or you were a fan of the other team. I learned all about the game from my grandmothers, one from Brooklyn - Die Hard Dodgers fan who didn't watch baseball again until the METS came to town...and the other who played semi-pro softball during the war. She actually taught me how to play the game. I played 1st base my whole life (as a righty) and wore #17 just because of my Keith! Lettered in BASEBALL (not softball in high school) - drove 500 miles in a day for mustache night at Shea during 07 season (honoring the best 'stache' in baseball Keith Hernandez)! Is there a better game, or way to spend the day then at the ball park?! Catch as many games as I can, where ever I can. And so far two continents and counting

Well my friends -
After and almost eternity I'm back to blogging here on fan nation...I had a lively little blog going, all on my own-funny thing about that.. The EX-cut off funding for the host site. So I'm back. I'll re-post some of the more 'timeless' pieces. What better timing though?
Opening day is in the air, and I'm back right where I should be!

With spring comes new hope of a winning season!  Fresh grass, new scorecard. new season tickets to the ball parks. Hell I even watched Pride of the Yankees last night. Mostly because I love Gary Cooper and was itching for a little integrity in the game.  I won't be headed to see Clemons pitch, or out to parks who's mangement were specifically named in the Mitchell Report. And I will not be attending as many MLB games this season UNTIL we have some serious lasting changes with drug policy, but I NEED this game to start.  I'm a teacher and I…
