A devout fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and anything in Indiana (apart from Purdue). Although I'm a Hoosiers fan, I also am a fan of the Big Ten in general (apart from, of course, Purdue) and I'll always root for a Big Ten team in a game unless it would harm the Hoosiers in some way. I live for the day that: 1. Colts have five Super Bowl Victories 2. Hoosiers pass Kentucky in NCAA Basketball Championships. 3. (Most Unlikely) The Cardinals pass the Yankees in total WS. 4. (Also Unlikely) The Hoosiers win the Big Ten in Football.

For the Hoosier faithful this is amazing... playing in the Insight Bowl! The cry of PLAY 13 has come true and now all that is neccessary for IU to win it... to win their first bowl game since 1993. Big Ten Champion? Who cares! Rose Bowl? Who cares! National Champion? WHO CARES! Indiana is in a bowl game, and not just something like Motor City, it's the INSIGHT BOWL. Very few things coould explain the complete and utter joy this has brought. Only winning it would be better... and well, actually, the Colts SB Championship was awesome, but this ranks RIGHT UP THERE!

Big Ten is not "weak" in football

Despite the claims that the Big Ten is only a rich conferance and holds no weight in the game, the Big Ten is a strong conferance. The reason people may see it as "weak" is because it is in transition. The traditional powerhouses of the Big Ten (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State) are still quality teams and the more modern ranked team, Wisconsin, still hangs in there. Do you realise that, of the TEN bowl elligable teams in the Big Ten, that only FOUR of them had ANY losses that came from a team outside of their own conferance? (Illini to Mizzou, Mich to App. State and Ducks, Iowa to Iowa St.…
