My name is Don. I was born and raised on Long Island (New York). Today I live work and play here. I'm a father of four (3 girls and 1 boy). That in and of itself is a sport. They are my pride and joy. My wife is an amazing woman. I'm 38 years old. My favorite sport is football (NFL): however, I do like many others. I also like many teams and I always look at individual players and coaches. My favorite teams are NY teams. My first picks are the Jets, Yankees and Islanders but I'll support any NY team. I've played some sports, which includes wrestling, football, hockey, golf and softball. I'd say I was best at wrestling. I still play golf and softball. I don't claim to know very much at all about sports overall. I'm not a big stat guy and I can't remember names, but what I think I know best is teams, players and coaches. I like to get into their heads. I like the team vs. individual dynamic. As far as The "BIG" Cat goes, it's a name my Father-In-Law gave me. I'm 6'2" and 265lbs. I guess it's relatively big because the name stuck and my friends now refer to me at times as The Big Cat. So there you have it!

The Best Sports City Ever...

I recently accepted a throwdown because my opponent stated that Boston is the best sports city in the country. I accepted it because it was a bold statement to make and he used the recent Red Sox Championship and the New England Patriots' winning record as to the reasons why the city of Boston should be adorned with such a crown. My main argument was/is that there is and must be a lot more criteria for a city to be awarded such a prestigious title.I'm sure that every fan has their own set of criteria that a team must meet before given such a title or at least even being considered…
