Kansas 24, Virginia Tech 21. Need I say more? Probably not, but I'm not one to leave anything unsaid.

Ok, so I was wrong. Mizzou's defense did not crack against Kansas like it had against K-State and Texas A&M. In fact, it held just firmly enough to withstand a thunderous KU comeback attempt. But I have one thing to ask, Tiger fans: could you keep the ravings and references to William Quantrill to a minimum?This rivalry is a wonderful thing. Why is it that some teams **cough, cough** USC and OSU **cough, cough** are media darlings, while others, like Kansas and Mizzou (Muck Fizzou!) are treated as if they were I-AA crud? Why is it that a team showing a perfect record in a nearly flawless season against tougher opponents than the media darling is still considered inferior? We were out for 3 months and in for 5 so the schedule was awesome. The downside was no foreign ports. Underway time was pretty uneventful too. A single guy would want to be on a fast attack. Foreign ports, delivering SEALS, gathering intel, and shooting TLAMS are much more exciting than packing 24 missiles around. I

When Mizzou stopped blitzing and went to prevent in the 4th quarter, they let Kansas back in the game. Your boys did exactly what you are supposed to, throw underneath and take what the soft zone allows. Poor coaching by Mizzou changed the complexion of the game. While our "Fan hood" will make us sworn enemies, I do commend your decision to serve your country. You are joining the Navy knowing that you will be putting ordnance on target and that is not a decision to be made lightly. I am a 1st Class Machinist Mate qualified Submarines. I was on the USS Nebraska for four years and I have spent the last four years as an instructor. Why do you want to work on the flight-deck? That is the most dangerous place that you can work in the Navy (outside of being a SEAL). If have as much aptitude as you appear to have, why not try and be a Nuke? The pay is better while you are in the Navy and there are more jobs in the civilian that your experience will translate to when you get out.
