For all you conspiracy theorists out there (ie...Jerry West, sorry Memphis), isn't it interesting the that the Sonics who are in serious jeopardy of losing their Seattle roots win big with the No. 2 pick in perhaps one of the deepest drafts this century.  Just thought I'd throw that out.  Anyway...the point is the Sonics have a chance to pick the leftovers from Portland, which will be some mighty fine leftovers in KD or Oden.  Whoever the Blazers pick the Sonics will be well off.  The questions is though, whether KD or Oden can restore Sonics mania back to Seattle…

The hardest part about being a fan for a group of teams from one city that hasn't had a championship run in over two decades is the heartache of getting so close but never making it to the top of the mountian.  I'm from the Northwest and an avid fan of the Mariners, Sonics, and anything out of the University of Washington.  Seriously, remember the late nineties when the Mariners were actually good...(ahem) just not good in the playoffs...or the Sonics all through the nineties when they practically dominated the Western Conference...(ahem)except…
