If you were the Astros GM or a GM of any team, why the hell would you do a trade or sign a free agent today when the Mitchell report is coming out tomorrow?I will go on record as predicting that Tejada is named in the report and that is why Baltimore traded him today.Ironically, Pettite signed his contract today and he and Clemens have been linked to a guy who has been in trouble for distributing "performance enhancing drugs" to baseball players. Overpaying for Santana

There is no need for the Yanks to overpay (with prospects) for Santana due to the fact that Dan Haren, Joe Blanton and Dontrelle Willis are out there for the taking.Yanks need a top of the rotation stopper which is Santana. None of the aforementioned 3 are that guy. As of this writing Missouri and West Virginia are #1 & #2 in the BCS rankings. If Missouri does not beat Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship this Saturday then Ohio State moves into the #2 spot and if both Missouri and West Virginia fall, then #4 Georgia gets to play for the national championship.The similarities for Ohion State and Georgia?
