As the 2011 spring rolls on, there is a tremendous amount of excitement brewing up here in Beantown. And make no mistake about it, as much as the city is captivated by the respective playoff runs being made by the C's and B's, the Red Sox World Series chances are paramount here. Kevin Youkilis has been a steady force in the Red Sox line up for the past four years. Every year, he ends up being one of the most feared in the line up, while playing Gold Glove caliber first. Then, this past offseason, the Red Sox decide they can find a better option at first and move Yook over to third. And you know what, no one disagrees.

To be honest, my one of my all time favorite Red Sox players has always been Pokey Reese. I mean come on, with a name like Pokey, you can't really go wrong. That being said, the Red Sox currently employ a much better second baseman, even if he does mysteriously appear in commercials starring toddlers. However, let's forget that creepiness (if that's possible), and look at just how good Dustin Pedroia really has been.
