At first I personally thought it was kind of cool what Kyle did after winning the Nashville Nationwide race and receiving the Sam Bass painted Guitar Trophy for winning and if it was a spur of the moment thing I think I might still believe that to a point.
He had supposedly said to his crew a year ago when they lost at Nashville that he would smash the guitar if he ever won there and give each of the crew members a piece of it , so Kyle as well as his team has had a year to think about this.

Jeff Gordon says a operation is not in the cards but his back has been bad for the last year. He will take more shots but that will only work for so long especially if you keep doing what has caused the bad back to start with. Long hours sitting in a car and being pushed into the seat by G-forces that most of us can only wonder about.
Are we seeing his last big push for his 5th Championship?
Even if he does not get that 5th Championship he can still hold his head high knowing that is among possibly only The King and The Man in Black in NASCAR history.

Just is not the same to even think of the Petty name in a Toyota. Even if a Petty is not driving you might as well slap some beer logos on the Petty car as well.
The more I say it is not so the more scared I become that it is just around the corner.
If he is going to a Japanese company might as well go all the way and bring in a new brand. Honda? Nissan? Subaru? Do not become 3rd , 4th fiddle or worse for Toyota. The Petty name deserves better than that and should be at least the number 1 of something new.
