Well we all now know who won the game, but who really won the evening?   A disclaimer:  I’m a Purdue student, and I won’t lie, I was rooting for Ohio State, not so much for the benefit of the Big Ten, but I figure it looks better for us if Purdue’s loss to OSU came to the National Champion.   Pregame guests/gags Gotta go with Shaq.  Jack Nicholas is nice and all, but how can you really top Shaq dressed up like Abraham Lincoln?  The answer: you can’t.  Point goes to LSU   Band Pregame Ohio State truly is the “best d@mn…

Big Ten Bowl

So what a game that Motor City Bowl turned out to be.  Easily 4 times as many CMU fans as Purdue fans, as you might expect.  Record overall attendance though.  All things considered, not to shabby of a site, game, and overall bowl. Now, a lot of people are using the fact that the game was close, thus showing the weakness of the Big Ten yet again.  However, consider this:  CMU played absoultely flawlessly.  No turnovers, a qb who had 6 TD's and rushed for over 100 yards.  They had the crowd in the game, and it was a bigger home atmosphere for the…

Just for funsies, I thought I'd take a look around the media world and see what people are saying about the Motor City Bowl.  Here's some of the highlights: Purdue vs. Central Michigan: This will be a rematch of the Sept. 15 meeting that Purdue won 45-22. Who in Detroit could be responsible for scheduling this horrible matchup again?
