In your poker TD, your final response to me was to call me an idiot? Seriously? Again, you're presumptuous, thinking that this mathematical, statistical method of play is the only, or even the best, way to play. You presume that a "read-based" method of play is the "lazy" way out? Most everything in life I do, is driven first by the thought process of it. Once the plan is mapped out, though, it becomes "read-based." It's people driven. It's the same in poker. I do a simple calculation. What hands can beat the one I have? Then, I play the players. There is some calculation involved, in a "quick and dirty" sort of way. I don't calculate actual probabilities, but I think, based on this player's history, style, etc. what are the odds he's bluffing and/or overplaying a weaker hand. I've already learned most of the tells without their even knowing. You say good players give "false reads," but it's usually after they've been alerted to the fact that you found their tell. Point: there are so many ways to play a player it's ridiculous. Your method seems much too cold and calculating. In fact, it sounds kind of boring. And, above all, it's pretty presumptuous. It may be worth it for you to just listen to lessons instead of calling someone an "idiot" because they disagree. I've got a different way. And it works, better than you could imagine.
