I've been gone for a long time.  I've started up the cooking show that I had two years ago, called Basic Cooking 102, and I'm also in the middle of an independent study in graphics, using openGL.  I'm also taking two writing intensive courses.  And I work every morning until 11.  I miss the coding that I used to do for FanNation, and for some odd reason, really miss Java.  Oh what am I talking about, I dislike Java.  BUT I did like Ruby quite a bit, that was very new and quick, and seemed to be very organized.But I thought I'd check in and say…

So the poll indicated that 2 people thought that the Sox would go ahead of or tie the Yankees at first place in the American League East, and 1 person thought they would fall farther than 2 games back.  And that one person, whoever he/she is, was correct.  They are now 3 games back, and even though "one game isn't much", it is at this time.  We have about a month left in the season, and the Sox haven't shown any sign of defensive strategy ever since Varitek was deemed disabled.  Varitek seems to be so key in this lineup that he's turned into a crutch. …
