Dan Bryant

I'm from Baltimore, MD, so my sports teams are more like abusive husbands but I love them anyways. I mostly enjoy only three sports: football, baseball, and tennis. Playoffs for any sport can be good, though. Don't care for college sports for the most part, too much to keep up with. Teams/Players I love: -Ravens -Orioles -Andre Agassi -Andy Roddick Teams/Players I like: -Redskins -Nationals -Bears -Colts -Roger Federer -James Blake -Rafael Nadal -LLeyton Hewitt Teams/People I Dislike: -Falcons -Broncos -Any team with Barry Bonds -Braves (because TNT broadcasts their games to people who don't want to watch their games) -T.O. -Novak Djokovic Teams/Players I hate: -Red Sox -Steelers -Patriots -Yankees Teams/Players I attempt to care about: -Capitals -Michael Phelps -Wizards

So, it’s time for the second edition of Stupid Comments from Around Fannation.com. I found some good ones since we last met and I hope you too appreciate the low quality of commenting these extractions represent. I’m thinking that I’ll have a monthly awards post for bad comments. I think I’ll call them the Golden Maddens. I’ll try to think up some good categories…like the Captain Obvious award and the Most-Painful-To-Read Award. Look for that next week-ish.   Comment #1 Against The Grain -- Sunday's Week 15 games “gay queer writer…

So, after reading a posting I tend to check out some of the comments. Sometimes I respond to other users and sometimes I mock really stupid and bad comments. I decided, maybe I should share these examples of absurdness with others? Why should I be the only one who gets to enjoy these mentally painful tidbits? I’ll try to collect come choice comments through the week and select 5 or so and, umm, discuss them. I’ll also try to acknowledge so more enjoyable comments if there any that exist, not counting my own awesome comments obviously… So, without further ado, the first…

When I say root for, I don't mean permanently, I mean in the Week 13 game Steelers at Patriots. Ravens fans have quite the conundrum this week. Our arch-rivals (Steelers) and another team we just don't like as non-New England residents (Patriots) are playing in Foxboro this weekend. The Ravens are competing with both of these teams for a playoff spot and unfortunately both can't lose*. So who am I supposed to root for?*A tie could be the answer to my dilemma, but how likely is that? Steelers lead the division a game over the Ravens right now, so a Ravens victory this weekend…
