- I suppose congratulations are in order for Mizzou for beating Northwestern 30-23. I know I wasn't alone in screaming at the television (and breaking my knuckle punching a post) in frustration, though. Still, a win's a win, and for the first time in school history, Mizzou won ten games in a season concurrently.- Once again, Chase Daniel looked uncertain, hesitant to throw a deep ball, and inaccurate when he did. His confidence has been shaky at best ever since the Oklahoma State game, when he threw the deciding pick at the end. Still, if he can recover his confidence, I truly believe…

Offseason Baseball/Cardinals thoughts

Well, the second season has begun (Hot Stove League), kicked off by the 2008 awards. I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd share a few thoughts. - Congratulations to Pujols, Ludwick, and Molina, who managed to pick up some hardware this offseason. Ludwick garnered a Silver Slugger, Molina got a long-overdue Gold Glove as well as a Fielder's Bible award (although this was easily his worst defensive year), and Pujols earned pretty much every piece of hardware imaginable, save a Gold Glove. Well, baseball season ended a couple weeks ago, and for the second time in as many years, the Cardinals didn't make the playoffs. Still, for the second year in a row, they've shown they have just as much moxy as any team in the league. Picked to finish fifth or sixth, they ended up ten games over .500, in it until the last month of the season. Personally, I'm hoping for the Dodgers to make it to the World Series. I've always respected Joe Torre, and I'd love for him to silence his critics, who say he only won because of the Yankees. Nothing really against the Phillies,…
