What did I say?? They had to stay in the here and the now. Well, they didn't. A quote from Portis - "The headlines got good. The guys started high-fiving. We hadn't thought ahead all season long until this week. ... The previous four games, the focus was there." Heartbreaking.

First, let me state unequivocally that I am a Redskins fan. No doubt. Now, for the love of God, PLEASE don't tell the Redskins that they are playing better than we've seen them in many, many a moon.  I'm sure I am not the only one that has noticed that the Redskins seem to have a record of beating teams that most people think they have no business beating (ahem, Dallas). I work in a building with a lot of men, and they love to talk about football. It's also very well known that I am an avid Redskins fan (What - did the blanket, #21 towel, Redskins tissue box, and parking pass from Dallas/Washington show down hanging in my cube give that away??)
