So now after seeing my first game on July 7th 1967 I am hooked on the White sox and baseball in general. I start reading the box scores every day to see what the Sox are doing i start following the other teams close by that year Red Sox-Tigers and Twins are all knotted up together in one of the tightest races in baseball history. And it will stay that way till the last week of the season when the White Sox take in a series in Kansas City to play the A's. Now it was a family tradition on my father's side that when his child turned 5 years old and if he showed a real interest in baseball and the White Sox that he would get to see his first game and (White Sox Park that's what it was called then people) My grand-father would have seen his first game around 1910 when the THEN new Comiskey Park was built. So now where did I leave off last...Oh yes the backyard game my brothers had set up with all their friends for a pick up game. Now a few days after that game i was in the house watching a game and thought why can't I have my own game out in the yard.
