We have all heard, ad nauseum, about the three big pillars Bama
lost on the O-line. Yes, that was a big blow, but not the only spots of
concern for the Tide.OFFENSE: As you all know, the RB corps is
loaded - and crowded. Undoubtedly, some of the young freshmen will be
redshirted. I think we will see a steady rotation of Yeldon, Drake and
Henry during the season. I look for Jalston Fowler to play mostly at "H"
back and FB. I think we'll see Dee Hart mostly in the slot and on
special teams (where he could be great - a la Javier Arenas). The TE and

Recently, on one of the message board threads, a young man made a few negative comments about Southern football programs, and to some extent, about Southerners in general. Needless to say, this stirred the ire of many of the Southern football fans and he found himself barraged by comments refuting his perceptions. Now I don't think that he really meant any great ill will with his comments. I don't think he even understood why so many of the Southern fans became so irritated. The SEC and Next Best Three - Week 2

Week 1 has come and gone and it would seem that we have more questions than answers heading into this week. Some teams performed as advertised, albeit against somewhat lesser competition, others found that there is still some work to be done, and at least one choked in spectacular fashion. Overall, the level of competition was lacking so it is hard to get a good bead on some of the teams. This week has more challenging matchups that should help separate the haves form the have-nots.
