I'm a NJ native, born in Teaneck, now living in the suburbs of DC, who grew up liking the Rangers, Knicks, Dodgers and Packers. My favorite athletes of all time are Rod Laver, Bill Bradley, Sandy Koufax and the young Bruce Springsteen. Gotta put Arthur Ashe in there, too, even if he is a righty. In addition to sports and music, I like history, birding, reading and beer. I used to enjoy running and playing tennis but blew out my L5 lumbar disk so I'm relegated to playing vicariously through the TV. My wife and I have an 11 year old skateboarder son who will hopefully keep me young for years to come. We plucked him out of an orphange in Novosibirsk, Russia and so hold out hope for a future Caps forward in the family. Going back and forth with everyone here has been a lot of fun and I really enjoy the camaraderie and respect a mixed bag of fans affords each other. For all intents and purposes I am just now returning to hockey after a long hiatus and am learning as much here as from the TV and sports pages. Cool!
