It has been a fairly calm Sunday -- thanks to the Eagles not playing until Monday night. And the fact that, like every year, there was no reason to pay attention to the Phillies on the last day of the regular season. I'm sad, I'm embarrassed and I'm bitter. But I'm also used to it. They got my hopes up like always and I thought they really had a chance, but I think I also knew better. And so another Phillies season ends with disappointment, but not surprise. Now that I've had a few hours to simmer (and come down off the ledge) after one of the most horrifying excuses for a quarter-plus of football, I've formulated some thoughts.
