Hey everyone my name is Jacob and I am currently in college at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. I am a journalism major and currently write sports for three papers (The Tahlequah Daily Press, The Northeastern and I start this fall covering spot games for the Tulsa world). I plan to be a big writer somewhere when I graduate in May 2008.

Everything is bigger in Texas

I recently came to the realization that things really are bigger in Texas. By this I mean, the bigger the Rangers players get in popularity the more the team loses. Think about it...they were good when Michael Young, Mark Teixeira and Hank Blalock weren't household names. Now everyone in the nation know about the big three and the Rangers are the worst team in baseball.It was great having Young be the "guy who replaced A-Rod" and Teixeira being the first round draft pick that Texas is getting results on.
