Hasn't this been a great off-season so far? Look at all the big
moves: Shaq to the Cavs, Artest to the Lakers, Richard Jerrson to the
Spurs, Vince Carter to the Magic. We are still waiting to see where key
players like Rasheed Wallace, Jayson Kidd, Allen Iverson, Hedo Turkoglu
and Andre Miller end up. Look at the top teams from last year
in the East and West: Orlando could be better if Carter still has
anything left, plus if Jameer Nelson stays healthy all year, the Cavs
got Shaq and they may try to get another FA, Boston will be back if
Garnett is healthy, and they are looking to add a FA.…

Well, two games against the Warriors and my ulcer is in full bloom now. The Lakers just don't seem to be capable of playing smart basketball, and the Warriors took full advantage of that. I mean in the first game the Lakers continued their habit of giving up 3 pointers when that's the only thing that could beat them when Stephen Jackson killed them, and they nearly did it again the second game. I was going to make up a Lakers drinking game where you take a shot every time the Lakers give up an open 3 pointer when they lead by 3 with under a minute to play. However, that would…

How did the Lakers give up 71 points in the first half to the Kings? The last few games they have been sleepwalking, especially on defense. If Bynum doesn't get back healthy I don't think they can get past San Antonio. They may not even be able to stay in the top 4 if they play defense like that! Maybe if Ariza, Bynum and Mihm get back the defense can improve. Perhaps this just isn't the Lakers year, with Bynum getting hurt, and Kobe's finger thing. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that they can play better defense than that in the future. Yeesh!
