I watch, play, comment on, and write about soccer and basketball. I have a couple of favorite teams in the NBA (Toronto and Dallas) though if I had to choose one, it would be the Raptors. My favorite soccer teams vary by country: MLS is Toronto; England is Manchester United; Spain is Barcelona and, occasionally, Valladolid; Italy is Roma. Watching the Gold Cup Final on Univision is a somewhat unsettling
experience. Aside from the alarming lack of HD, it's a bit like being a
non-Cubs or non-White Sox fan and watching a game on WGN: the
announcers are so patently biased that it renders their analysis
pointless. The Univision announcers were clearly rooting for Mexico
from the beginning, apparently unaware that a good number of Americans
(and Canadians) can speak Spanish. But that is, in reality, just the

an undeserved penalty shot. The play itself was clearly not a
penalty. If the ball touched anything, it touched Kevin McKenna's…

in Spain. And, as if TFC wasn't happy enough about getting Real Madrid,
apparently that game will be his debut. That ought to make everyone in the Big Smoke pleased as punch.
In other news, Manchester United have apparently completed the signing of Luis Antonio Valencia for 16 million pounds.
I'm still not sure how I feel about this, especially…
